If I recall correctly Dracula not only fought Spider-Man but also the X-Men I think it was in issue 6 of the X-Men Annuals.

The awesomeness of the Long Box can not be denied.

Oh the censorship of comics over the most mundane of things. You can't use vampire in the comic but years prior weren't there best selling work by authors that used words such as vampires and werewolves for that matter?? For example Bram Stroker's novel, Henry Irving's play, or certain movies that came out in the early 20th century. Oh I forgot the excuse was only kids read comics. *sighs* -.-

Well, hell, we've had Dracula vs. Batman already, both in the Longbox and on Cartoon Network... why not Spidey?

Is this the same series that was horribly botched into that anime Linkara and Sage reviewed together? Because if it is... damn, that's one hell of a bad adaptation, when I can't recognize ANYthing from the first issue in the entire show!

Another fine entry to the Longbox of the Damned. Makes me wish Marvel would do a revival of their horror comics. Perhaps done in their MAX line but I just hope its handled by talented people who grew up on these books.

Dracula also have fought the Silver Surfer and Doctor Strange, in matter in fact, Doctor Strange was responsible for using the spell of the Black Magic Book, the Darkhold to wipe out Vampires for a while in the Marvel Universe. Tomb of Dracula is also the series that debuted the famous Blade the Vampire Hunter.

Another thing, what you think of Marvel recently in 2010 revamping Dracula's entire look. From the classic Hammer inspired Gene Colan Dracula to a reject from Legacy of Kain.

Not only did Dracula encounter Spider-Man, but he also battled Dr. Strange, the X-Men, Thor and the Silver Surfer as well. Heck in Avengers Assemble he even battled the Avengers.

Oh I've been waiting for you to take on this, didn't think it'd be this soon. I've had an interest in the Marvel-Horror reimaginings for some time.

This one just looks cool and I want to get my hands. I find it interesting that Dracula exists in the Marvel universe and very fun too. I do wonder considering Marvel had the license to Nightmare on Elm Street until they canceled it, I have to do wonder how would Freddy Krueger fit in with the Marvel universe.

I had a feeling that you would eventually get to this. I also saw that crossover review you and Sage did a couple of years ago of the anime and....yikes!

Though this series actually sounds pretty good.

Moarte, fueling crossover fan fiction since...now...I guess.

a little surprised (and disapointed) he didn't mention Blade. Blade Made his Debut in the Tomb of Dracula, granted he was a blacksploitation stereotype but he came into his own in the 1990s and with out Blade's first film we are likely to not have any of the marvel films or any comic book films. Or at the very least they would have came at a later date. After stinkers like Batman and Robin and steel nearly killed the comic book movie genre, Blade revived it and put Marvel in the limelight for the X-men films and Spiderman films. Infact it was Blade who first defeated Dracula in the comics.

I swear Blade gets no Creddit.

Dracula also has an ongoing feud with Apocolypse

At this point can we declare the "descendant of Dracula cliche" a thing?

Why is Spider-man vs Dracula not a movie?! We had Batman vs Dracula which was good. Hell there should be Thor vs Dracula, Ironman vs Dracula. THE NINJA TURTLES vs Drcaula. Alien vs Dracula! Freddy vs Jason vs Ash vs Dracula! Wait I'm just listing a fan fics.

The long box just fills me with such joy. It helps me through long night shifts sitting in the dark.

Linkara was slightly Coxish today.

John Cramer - yes, it was X-Men Annual 6, and also Uncanny #159. (Oddly enough, when I went to my collection to check, that was the very first issue I flipped to!)

Movie Brat: I think Freddy would fit in okay. With characters like Nightmare and Dreamqueen running around, he'd be more worried about competition than fitting in.
